    if you have the 2 boxes complete side by side to each other (from TC+ bell housing to the Tcase) along with the requisite plumbing and wiring then you can cobble it to get one into the other.

    you cant just ring up and order an auto complete for a v8 and have it bolt up to a td5....

    Thanks, I had found the idea of using the medium TC with a chipped TD5 on another site, what does the "modified mount" involve ? A changed flex plate?

    Thanks Blknight, I think that answers the question - Keep the V8 transmission and use it if the one on the TD5 car fails. "Cobbling" seems the way to go if necessary.
