Do you really want power on to the saver in the AUX position? On with the ignition seems appropriate, at least to me. This is why I took power from a circuit that only has power when in the ignition on position. In the AUx position the thing is powered up when you've left the key in the ignition while away fishing.
And yes you should put an inline fuse of the required size regardless of where you take power from. If the power supply is fused at 15amps, and the unit should be fused at 2 amps, it won't be protected.
Ultimately your choice...

Thanks to all that took the time to answer my questions on the fuse, which I thought would be included in the kit if it was a integral part of the set up. I've just spent a lot on a new motor and don't think an extra $190 is too much to pay for a little insurance and hope the manufactures spend a little of that money on improving their website....I would have bought the TM2 had it been better positioned.

Dave is a supporter and member of the forum so there is a pretty good possibility he will come across your comments :)
Suggest you also send him an email direct with your constructive criticism and I am pretty sure it will be happily received since feedback is the only way the product or website can really be improved.
I have no connection to EngineSaver apart from being a very satisfied customer.

Thanks I will - if I knew how - cause I'd also apologies - as what i meant to say is that after spending a small fortune on a new motor $190 is NOT to much to pay for a little added insurance..(iPad with fat fingers and just starter to wear glasses excuse) and would like to have bought the TM2.....etc.....sorry Mr Dave.
