    Aftermarket harness??

Ok so after putting ot off its come time to replace the inj harness, yep same thing as others, oil to ecu. I can get a new one from the local Landy spares (genuine) but wouldnt these end up doing the same thing after some time? Does somebody make an aftermarket harness? if so who? thanks Ross

    Hi Ross

This is the one you need.

Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 Genuine Injector Loom | eBay

Gary is great to deal with to. He also does FULL coolant hose kits, good prices as well.

I believe the new harnesses have been modified not to take in oil but I stand to be corrected on that one.

What were you quoted from the Dealer??

    Cheers

    Matt

You can't buy a modified harness from Landrover, you have to have it modified by a good dealer or modify it yourself with sealant as far as I know, pretty easy to do. If you just buy a new one without the sealant added it will eventually fill up with oil as well. Plenty has been written about it in these forums also.

Karcraft have them for $70, Paddock spares in UK is GBP 28 i.e. about $40ish freight can add up from the latter but I bought mine with a bunch of other stuff. All OEM part number AMR6103

Wasn't the fix in the OEM harness that they put a multi-pin connector in the harness? The idea being that if oil got into the harness, it could only go as far as the connector and not down to the ECU.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
