    Wear on handbrake backplate

Hi all, I dismantled my handbrake assembly for the first time in a "long time", to replace cable, shoes, clean out etc. Once I removed the backplate to clean it I found some pretty heavy wear on the shoe contact points...

This is the worst spot. Should I worry about this, and MIG then grind it, or just ignore it and reassemble after deburring?

    Thanks
    Regards, Will

    Question Wear on handbrake backplate

Hi winaje, I am keen to know what you have decided to do. In your photo it looks as though the grove is manufactured, or is the matt section in front of the groove you are referring to? LRT
