    diff locks?

Hey people would like to hear some opinions on fitting diff locks to my 2000 auto disco. Mainly use her for touring and 600k commute to work once a fortnight. Like to go offroad but not into climbing mountains. Have not had a vehicle with traction control before is this normally good enough? Setting her up to do the cape in July. Already has 2' lift, mud terrains ,chip and 3" stainless exhaust Thanks for any input.

As alluded to by Redback before you even begin to consider cross axle diff locks (which according to your indicated usage I don't think you need) and before you venture to Cape York, I suggest that you ensure that you have the means to lock the centre diff.

x3 on the Centre Diff Lock.

If it was my vehicle, I would fit a truetrac front and rear (after fitting the CDL).

TT + ETC is about 98% as good as lockers, and for less money. The TT centres are also much stronger than original.

Same as everyone else re the CDL. Even if you have to spend some money to get the whole shooting match fitted, it'll be better value to you than lockers, they are pretty useless if you don't have the CDL in any case!

I have front and rear lockers but mainly got them because we tow our camper trailer everywhere and it makes things a lot easier on the car to have at least the rear locked over gnarly bits (you can go slower, not so much need to have momentum).

Good luck doing the Cape.... very jealous here
