r/h rear window has come out of track

The r/h rear window has dropped out of the track attached to the regulator in my 2000 Disco TD5. Can someone please advise me exactly how the window is supposed to be fixed in this track? I cleared a heap of rust out of the track and am thinking I'll have to replace the track as it doesn't want to grip the window anymore. The window goes up okay but pulls out again on the downward move. Should the rubber channel be glued onto the window and then jammed in the metal track? Can I just buy a new track and fit it to the regulator or does this come with the whole kit and kaboodle?
    Hope someone can help,
    many thanks,

The window should be held to the regulator with screws(nut & bolts possbily) which hold the glass in the regulator. Are these in? Sounds like they are not in.

Best to buy a new regulator. Priced anywhere from $25 - $150. Aftermarket are as good as any.
