Hi Check the bolts that hold the fan on, mine came loose and caused a simular vibration ??
Hey All,
I noticed after starting the disco this morning that the engine felt like it had an unusual vibration. Became more pronounced as the revs climbed. Worst at around 1750 RPM and mostly gone above 2000 RPM.
Any thoughts on possible diagnosis? Potential cost?
Many thanks in advance

Could be engine mount(s) on the way out, or maybe front propshaft.
There are a heap of threads on here about D2 vibrations.
Are there any associated noise(s), or just the vibration.
Hi
Mine did this about 4 months ago, at first it didn't do it every day but after a week or so it did, turned out to be engine mounts replaced those and now is smoother than it ever was ( since iv'e owned it ) if it only does it when moving it could be something else, try applying the handbrake 1st gear and torque up the mounts by trying to drive away if it groans and vibrates it will be the mounts. Get genuine aprox $300 a pair + fitting if you don't do it yourself, do both, if you look from underneath the mounts have small holes in the bottom, if you can easily see rubber then there knackerd, apparently its pretty common

Thanks for the replies so far guys and girls.
I probably should have been more specific. I noticed the vibration whilst in neutral and stationary. I think this would rule out most stuff beyond the gearbox (I think...)
If you still have no luck, go see Carl at Greenlight Car Care Thornleigh. Only a few kms down the road from you.![]()
