Thanks James the info you provided was spot on.
I went to Repco earlier today and got them to dig out a number of various sump plugs they had out the back and there were several 14 mm plugs. I brought the longest one they had and that will do the job for now. I will put a original one in next time I change the oil.

Well I could take a picture of a dirty great oil slick that was well over 100 metres long on the Braidwood Rd just coming into Gouldburn if you like? Thankfully I noticed the smoke behind the Disco from oil on the exhaust before the oil light came on so I turned it off and coasted to a stop. :angel:
Spent half an hour looking for the bloody plug that I had not done up properly both up and down the road in the freezing cold to no avail.:mad:
Anyway got a new plug today filled her up with more new oil, held my breath cranked her over and away it went no problems or noises at all. :D
Won't do that again I can tell you...
