Thank you for pointing me in that direction if I get stuck I'll order one on Monday.

If I can find out what size bolt and thread it is I might be able to replace it tomorrow (sunday) hopefully.

Otherwise I can't start or move the D2.

    cheers,
    Terry

Thanks Peter, now I have a good starting point. I'll give Repco a go today and see if they have something to suit.

A magnet on a long stick might recover the bolt from the bottom of the big drum into which you've drained the oil. Terry. Ask me how I know.

Actually a magnate on a stick wouldn't be quite enough Ron, I would need a metal detector and a lot of luck to find the sump plug. ...

All I will say is I will never ever change the oil and filter ever again on a extremely windy (around 50 klm at the time) and freezing cold (wind chill factor was -5 at the time) day in the middle of a paddock and before some clever dick says something ...no the cows did not eat it.
