    Part No. for Headphones and DVD Remote

    I just picked up a factory rrof mounted DVD screen and under seat DVD player for a very good price, however there is no remote or headphones.

    I have been trying to find the part no's for these items with no luck.

    Anyone out there know where I may be able to get them from?

    Are the DVD headphones for a D2 the wireless ones?

    Just found some more information and it should work with the Infra Red headphones and I can buy the remote for under $100 from a dealer or the Eurovox rep in Australia.

    Just have to wait for it to arrive now and confirm it is the unit I think it is.

    Then the fun part of working out how to install the thing...

    Just called Go Technologies with those codes and;

    DVD Remote $55.00
    Infra Red Headphones $88.00 each
    Courier Charge $16.50

    So looks like I get a full D2 factory DVD setup for under $600

    Can anyone clarify exactly what this means;

    "The Eurovox unit is a fully functional DVD player with VCD, CD, CD-R, Nintendo, SEGA, X-Box and Playstation game compatibility. It includes infrared remote control and two sets of infrared headphones, eliminating unsightly and messy wiring. (Additional sets are available for purchase from your Land Rover retailer). With a sensational 18cm anti-glare active matrix colour screen and Dolby digital audio, you are totally wired for sound and vision."

    Does it mean you can plug a playstation etc into the DVD player unit or does the DVD player actually read games for XBOX and playstation already?

    They'll be an additional set of input leads to plug a game player into (so you'll need an inverter to power).

    You could plug your console in under the passenger seat. This would get the video signal to display on the roof screen. It doesn't have a built in game console.

    I've got the setup in my HSE and I can't say that I'd be willing to pay $600.00 for it. The screens picture quality is pretty poor. Definitely shows it's age - it was probably fairly high up top of the line back when it was new, but things have changed a lot in the 10+ years since.

    That could very well be the case.

    I paid just over $400 for the screen and player. It will only be around $600 if I can not source the headphones and remote cheaper.

    I checked out ebay in the US and I should be able to get the headphones for under $20 each.

    The picture quality will hopefully still be enough to keep the kids happy and quiet on those long trips, like a three day drive to Cairns etc.

    There is a small loom from that sits under the drivers seat for vehicles optioned with the DVD player. The loom goes under the drivers seat and along the drivers sill, up the A pillar then across the fuse box under the dash and then ends where the main stereo power plugs are at the rear of the head unit of the stereo. If you have this, happy days otherwise you can knock a much shorter loom and source your power from your seats with a noise filter. The "factory" video input also hides under the drivers seat and there is inputs there for other things such as gaming consoles etc.

    The picture quality is not real good by todays standards but my 6 and 3 year old don't complain.

    I can post up some photos of the loom and video input box if that helps?
