    Question gearbox, slippage?

Hi guys. Problem with auto gearbox on 2003 disco2 V8 running dual fuel.
when cruising at 60-70ks and what seems like fourth gear the gearbox seems to transmit drive unsteadily. If it was a manual gearbox i would sap unsteady slippage. trucks done 270K. No other problems. gearbox had filter changed 80k. What could the problem be???

    Question gearbox slippage??

Hi guys. i have a problem with the auto gearbox on a 2003 disco2 V8.270Ks. When doing about 60-70kph in what feels like fourth gear the seems to be an unsteady transmitting of drive to the truck. If it was a manual i would say its slipping. But this is an auto.??? Any ideas?? the filter was changed at 80Ks. Everything else fine. runs well.

The vehicle has done 270K. I have a receipt for gearbox filter being changed at 80K. Nothing since. Do you think that could be giving the slippage?

    This is real bad.
That sort of milage without a fluid change.
Definitely get it FLUSHED and a new filter.

I'd say its the torque converter also. It doesn't lock up in 4th until about 80km/h. At that speed I'm pretty sure mine is mainly unlocked so you will get "slip", but its normal.

Simon, V8's lockup at around 60km/hr I believe ... hence his 60-70 issue.

    Td5 locks at around 80.

... even more of a pointer to the TC lockup being the culprit.
