I actually just used a 12pt ratchet spanner
I had no problems using a 12 point normal socket on the external ones. The internal ones on the rear seats require a T50. I bought mine at Repco, tool no RT2226, for under $10. Then I threw the whole lot of torx away and replaced them with proper bolts.
I did that to the rears to make them easier to remove/replace when carrying camping gear, but was told that replacing the original bolts was not allowed under ADR's. Something about stronger than normal mounting bolts being required as some seat belts are fastened to the seat frames instead of the vehicle body.

ebay a set of 3/8 drive torx bits out of usa for less than $30 and you will use them all over the bodywork on a D2
i also have a set of 3/8 12 points sockets for the outside or external torx screws
A Kinchrome e-torx kit from Bursons cost $27, used the E14 3/8 square drive socket to TTY the head bolts when I changed my TD5 cylinder head. No need to go the ebay route.
e-torx (external fit) are easy to get locally, its the internal torx (internal fit like and allen key) that i had trouble locating local at a reasonable price. Although to be honest, i saw a reasonable priced set at bunnings a few weeks ago, not sure of quality though.
oh and as for e-Torx, a set of 12 point sockets will fit e-torx bolts and hex head bolts and even works on some rounded off hex heads , so go them rather than an e-torx set.
