    yep got all 4 ball joints for 150 delivered to darwin.I jacked up the wheel and could not feel any movement from side to side then put a bar directly underneath the wheel and lifted the wheel straight up there was a 3-4 mm play in the ball joint also the boot is completely missing,

    the rubbers on mine have perished. The car has done 230K, still steering OK though from Hendriks comments they are probably on the way out. I'll jack it up on the weekend and have a test but I reckon its time to start saving a few $....

    Brings back memories and I can say that depending on your actual vehicle you can remove and install the actual ball joints in quick time with basic wind up press tools but you may have a tight one which means pure frustration and the only option is making a decent one like this in steel. My left side took a week to get out of a pickle yet the right side just went in and like other cars. Thanks for posting the pictures and making the press as is a hoot.
