Topping up oil and going to Dan Murphy's. 2 necessities for a Land Rover owner.
Cheers,
Anthony.
So today, I learn't a few more things and am slowly becoming a Landy mechanic. I:
~Replaced the oil filter
~Replaced the air filter
~Checked the MAF, blew the dust away from the grill, and inspected the MAF sensor, but didnt spray it. IT seemed very clean, so I'm not going to risk busting it by spraying MAF cleaner on it if I dont need to
~Replaced the radiator return loop hose thingy
~Changed the back indicator globe
~Topped up the oil and coolant
I am really happy with the instructions from the RAVE CD and am starting to understand its layout and the way it instructs.
Next weekend, hopefully, if I can get the carpet commando's occupied long enough, I am going to have a go at replacing the rear springs.....so off to Dan Murphys now to stock up on supplies!!!!

Good job Barney,
The beauty of Land Rover ownership is we get to intimately know the workings of our vehicles. Similar to you my mechanical knowledge is slowly growing.
Hope Dan Murphy's went well.

Yep the trip to Dan Murphys was very worthwhile, they've got heaps of good stock for helping fix land rovers....
Also, shock horror, with fear and trepidation...I CLEANED MY MAF!!! The car hasnt blown up yet!
It gets worse, I think I know the ins & outs of my LR better than my wife but that's standard procedure when you're married yeah? Lmao!
Someone tell me they're in the same boat, even if they're lying just to make me feel better
