do Bilstein 2" Lift shocks fit in non lifted D2a?

    Hi everyone

Looking to finally replace the original shocks in my 2003 Discovery (only done 180,000km's... so no hurry here ...)and am looking at the long travel Bilsteins from Les Richmond.

My question is, i am eventually going to throw in the 2" lift kit (springs and rear sls lift blocks) but in the mean time, will these long travel shocks still fit and work until i do the next stage and lift the vehicle?

    Thanks

    Tim

I'm contemplating the the same scenario but with koni heavy tracks +2.
I think the issues will be the compression stroke will have the potential to bottom out the shock so maybe extended bump stops will be needed. Also on axle drop the front drive shaft will most likely hit the cross member unless its the springs that limit that and not the damper.

So I'd be interested in some different opinions also.

Pardon my ignorance here, do the the Koni 2" lift shocks also work ok with a D2 that still has SLS with the 2" spacer kits?

Nobody has an opinion or theory? Cant find much on info about this on google either.

I have found some info on raising the shock turrets for the D1 not so much the for the D2.

I've been thinking a standard height dobinson spring +20 with a 30mm turret packer on the front and a 20 mm bump stop packer with a +2inch shock would allow a reasonable amount of articulation. And do something similar for the rear.

Pardon my ignorance here, do the the Koni 2" lift shocks also work ok with a D2 that still has SLS with the 2" spacer kits?
Can't comment on air bags sorry
