Sloppy steering will usually be one of :-
1. tie rod ends
2. Panhard rod bushes
3. Steering box or steering column joints or pitman arm loose on shaft.
Lots of other possibilities including wheel bearings, loose wheels, other loose bushes both front and rear.
The only ones that usually are noisy are loose wheels or wheel bearings, but tie rod ends can be, as can steering boxes. Need to listen to the noise to give an opinion.
