Question Auto tranny - leaking sump

I just changed the filter in the automatic transmission sump, and cleaned it all up and fitted a new gasket. Now it's leaking from the rear end of the sump. I torqued the bolts to the specified torque setting of 8Nm, which is not very much. Should I give them a further nip?

check that the gasket is seated properly and didn't move when refitting?

Yeah, it looks right. I can see the black rubber lip evenly all the way around. It just seems to be seeping out of it a bit (which is strange since when the unit is running there is very little oil actually in the automatic transmission sump).

Had another very thorough inspection this afternoon, and a small section of the gasket at one of the middle bolts had turn in. So with the engine running (to reduce the oil level in the sump), I removed the bolt and loosened the others. With a flat head screw driver and long nose pliers I managed to get it back out sitting properly. Tightened it all back up, checked the fluid level (was fine) and hopefully this should resolve it.

    Cheers.
