Question DVD Head Rests Installation help

    Hi folks,
i had this posted in the comms section but have received no replies, so perhaps this may be more forthcoming (sorry mods pls move if not!)

Just wondering if any one who are D2 owners have installed themselves DVD headrests. I just need some pointers on how best to REMOVE the front seat covers for the driver and front passenger seats (the original coverings fixed to the seats)... I think there are some clips on the back somewhere.... but not sure.

Any help would be appreciated... :-D

    Thanks,
    Lp

Thanks for the link Pedro, however my query was more in relation to how the seat covers come off the seats in a D2. Perhaps I am using the wrong terminology ?? I'm not an auto upholsterer...??

I'm not sure how easy it is to get the cloth trim off seats in a D1, D3 or D4 variations though... but I know that in order for me to get the wiring down the metal stem and behind the seat trim (back part), I need to remove it some how.

Whether the seat trim is fixed in sections - no idea. I can 'feel' things that 'may' be clips of some sort at the back but i'm not sure...I need to run the wiring down the back of the seat under the trim (seat cloth so it's all hidden) then under the carpet to the dash (if using a 12V socket)...

i've googled to no avail ... lots on instructions on installation as you have shown, however nothing specific to a landrover discovery 2 to get the wiring under the cloth back trim...

I so hope I am making sense LOL :-D

edit - perhaps seat upholstery may be a better explanation ??

    Cheers,
    Lp
