Thread: R380 on D2a 2003 V8?

I'm a manual bloke. Automatic frustrates me. It's like sitting there and having nothing to do I never had an automatic car ever until..........

Well I recently got a very nice 2003 D2a 4.0 V8 and ...... yes.... it has an auto box.

Given early D2 V8's had a manual gearbox (R380, I figure?) what would be involved in converting this auto to a manual .. real car? Could the transfer case be re-used? Apart from the gearbox I think the center console would need changing, the pedals including the clutch cylinder etc.

Anyone successfully done this before? What $$$ damage are you looking at?

Our 03 d2a v8 is a manual.

Transfer case is the same. Definetely posisble but a bit of work
