Were you in low range? I think it is required for full traction control.
Hi All. When the TC light comes on I hear the noise of the TC working but the brakes don’t seem to be activating to stop the spinning wheel/s. All seems to be working except I don’t go anywhere. Does anyone had this issue and know what to do?

Tried it In low and high range, diff lock in and out. When traction is lost Wheels keep spining. I throught the brakes were meant to work on the Spining wheel and sent power to the others?
Hi All.
Can someone help?
When a wheel on my D2 looses traction the TC light comes on, I hear the noise of the TC working but the brakes don’t seem to be activating to stop the spinning wheel/s from spinning.
Isn't the brake on the spinning wheel meant to grip the spinning wheel and transfer the torch to the other wheels?
This doesn’t seem to happen; the spinning wheel just keeps spinning. And I go now were.

Is your D2 an early model without CDL (centre diff lock)?
The traction control tries to make both wheels on an axle turn at the same speed - not stop a spinning wheel per-se. If you are on a slippery surface and both wheels on each axle are spinning at the same speed then the traction control can't do anything beyond that.
EDIT:
If you can do it safely and carefully, one way to test would be to jack one wheel off the ground, with CDL DISengaged, and slowly and carefully try and drive forward. If ETC isn't working you will go nowhere. If you move, then ETC works.
Hi Again, My D2 has CDL, And I tryed what you said. CDL out one wheel span. CDL in Car moved. Went in to mud. No TC grabing from the brakes to stop spining wheels and move power to other wheels. Just sat there on flat ground as a Niva went past. Two wheels spining.
Have you tried using HDC? Both ETC and HDC operate the ABS modulator in active braking mode and utilise the same components and systems of the Modulator so if there is a fault that is preventing ETC working HDC should be equally compromised. ABS braking uses a slightly different configuration of the ABS Modulator so isn't an entirely accurate test - HDC is easier to check too
BTW What year model is your D2?
Thanks for this.
The ABS Works. The car is a 1999 D2 V8.
Yes The DHC works.
When the TC light is on you can hear the normal sound from the system as if it is working But still no traction and wheels spinning.
