I'm pretty sure that the ARB tray is no longer available.
Cheers

Yes I was told by the local ARB store that I had got one of the last ones about 3 years ago. Bargain at $85.

I see for $80 you can buy a billeted Optima holder... Top and bottom plates and connector between them... Not sure if the bolt holes will work nor whether there is enough meat in the right spots to drill more but interesting option given that I would only use an Optima near the exhaust like that. I have a 130 Full River van battery that I could use (I always have the fridge running in the van when towing the van so I could put that battery in the truck for camping trips) ...but it is N70 size and would have to go in the back and I would prefer to maximise storage in the boot. Cheers..
My D2 Td5 had an ARB tray already installed. I picked up this 85Ah Calcium with front mounted terminals which fits in the tray perfectly, and no height problems. Calcium is old school but they were extensively used in dual battery systems before AGM, and it won't mind a little heat. To get the best performance from a Ca battery, you need to give it a boost charge from a smart charger with a Ca function every couple of months.
It only has to run a 39L or 29L Engel and occasionally the winch, so I didn't need a huge capacity. The alternator will easily cope with this one.

I had a bit of a Google search and found they are sold as Alco and Supercharge Gold.I picked up this 85Ah Calcium with front mounted terminals which fits in the tray perfectly,
But nowhere do they publish prices.
Considering the need for a special charger is there a reason you bought this one rather than say an Optima Yellow, Blue or Red top?
I have had a Blue top in mine at that position for 4.5 years as my starting battery now with no swelling or other observable heat problems and no clearance problems .
I am not dissing only looking at alternative choices.

Price is only $249 from Battery World. I wanted an Optima but would not fit in the tray and was too high. At 85Ah, it has a bit a bit more capacity and I have a smart charger anyway, so a boost charge every couple of months is no issue. Time will tell if was a good choice!
I was always under the impression the Td5 left the factory with a calcium battery, hence the 14v alternator.
Ive been using a calcium CAT battery as my main/starter battery for the last 3+ years without using any special chargers. In fact I've never had to connect an external charger to it at all.
