Recoiled mine and worked a treat. I wold just do this anyway like checking your oil pump bolt. Or you might end up with a fire like I hadImageUploadedByTapatalk1413834434.303051.jpg

Not sure if it's a coincidence but since doing the recoil and getting a nice tight seal on the rotor cover my filter can be heard spinning for a good 10 seconds after shut off. Before I couldn't here it at all. Same brand filter on this service.

Nothing to do with the recoil. Could be due to a different brand of filter or the fact you are now hearing something that was always there but never noticed.

Because you have played with it you are now conscience of it.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Hi d2dave I have always taken notice as I thought that noise was my turbo on the way out on my first TD5. Anyway I have used the same brand Mhale filter for the last 3 changes. And I specifically listen for the rotor to make sure it's still working.
