Brake warning light on dash comes on and off

I noticed the the Brake light sometimes will come on if I go over a bump or around a corner. I checked the hand brake lever to ensure it is fully released. There is brake fluid in the master cylinder.
I had this also used happen on a D1 I owned, it seemed that one had the problem when coming down a steep hill.
Like the float in the master cylinder was dropping.
Is this something common on Discos? I's like it could be and earth problem on my D2.

I've had the float in the master cyl cap get a hole in it and sink. Was a pain to fix I actually just ended up waiting until I had to replace a customers master cylinder, and robbed the old cap off it before it went in the bin.

Thanks JC another thing I'm going to check.
I just checked and the Cap and switch is an easy obtainable spare part.

    Hi IsNotWorthComplainingAbout,

I've just looked on microcat and can only see the complete master cylinder, which is silly money

How or where did you find the part number for the cap? An idea on price would be good as well if you ended up getting one

    Thanks,
    Kelvin

My D1 used to do it when going down hill - vehicle did it from new - is just the fluid moving forward and the float/switch goes down causing the light to come on. Just a design feature.

Problem with mine is it wont bring the warning light on when the cap is removed from the fluid, even though the float drops to the bottom.

Only found out while doing a general check of things.
