I bought my 1995 D1 V8 with 150k km, fitted lpg, and did another 250k km as both daily drive and towing small camper all over oz, on the beach, Kimberly you name it. Everything (almost) fell off and I put it back on again, but no computer **** probs or manifold fall off or blown head gaskets. Lpg savings alone paid for her.
Upgraded to a D2 V8 with lpg. Lovely drive and great Hi Fi for all those times it just stops! Head gaskets, exhaust falling apart, alternator, PS pump, coil packs, new water pump x 2, CKP sensor x 2, 3 ******* amigos and on it goes
D1 is now unreg paddock basher. I say sorry every time I go near her.
Wish I could just swap the plates.
