Smile Fitted my EGR blanking kit today

Finally got around to fitting my kit (took it off the old D2 right off). Now I remember what a bitch of a job getting the original off was .
Fitting the kit takes about 10 minutes, getting the original assembly out took about an hour....bloody hell that bottom bolt near the engine is hard to get at!
I was surprised to see how clean the butterfly was. I remember the one from the old D2 was full of black gunk, this one was clean and just a little residue on one side of the housing. Does this mean I won't notice much difference in performance?

The only real difference I noticed after I fiited an EGR kit was that the motor was noisier at idle and light throttle. Probably not that surprising given that one of the purposes of the EGR is to reduce combustion noise under those conditions
