Sprayed about 150ml of wd40 on the uni joint and splitter, rite befor the steering box... and free it up slowly... 95% better...
Whats next, wd40 wont last forever.. keep spraying??? or get aftermarket one???

The steering uni started to stiffen up again over the weekend... Took the whole thing out, unis where like a rock!
Just replaced it with a aftermarket one, only took about 2 hrs...
Hopefully thats the end of it, feels good as new..:D
hey dudes did any of you who have had the stiff stearing wheel. did you have a noise coming from just behind the stearing wheel or under the plastic cover behind the stearing wheel sounding like wires being pulled along a sharp edge or like a lead has ended up twisted up on the stearing shaft. cant find anything on visual inspection. so hoping its a refered noise from down the shaft.

could be the clock spring for the airbag had my ragies broken by a tyre setvice and put up with a week of clicking and plastic grinding sounds from the steering column
