Recently a ZF reconditioned 4HP22 with a reconditioned torque converter, new xyz switch and fitting cost me approx $4400 all up including new transmission mounts and fluids.
Don't forget to have the transfer case output seals and intermediate shaft "O" rings replaced while its all out.

Well I got the old girl back today with a reco box from A&B Automotive in Dandenong and I must give those guys a huge rap for the work they have done!! The car is spotless and drives like a dream, they got the work done in just on a week and were very accommodating with drop off and pickup times.

They have also arranged for my 1000km inspection (for warranty purposes) to be done at the local dealer so I don't have to drive 2 hours back to their workshop.

So not only were they $1200 cheaper than local quotes, they did a fantastic job and even washed and detailed my car (surprised it didn't die of shock!!)

So I can thoroughly recommend if any Vic folk have any Trans issues, these guys are definitely worth the call.

Turned out to be a destroyed Sprag Clutch causing my problems and they even let me take the offending item home
