It looks like I just missed seeing a dark green Discovery 2 lose the left rear wheel on Samford Rd at Ferny Hills, just before the bottom of the range about 5:15pm yesterday.

The wheel was about 100 metres back down the road on the opposite side with the centre torn out of it. I've tried to find the type of rim, but although I seem to remember seeing it before I don't think it's very common. Steel, long straight spokes I think......

Was it someone from the forum? I wasn't able to stop to offer assistance as I was trying to make it to the hospital ASAP to see a critically ill friend. It sounds like the driver sorted it out fairly quickly as my housemate travelled through there about 25 minutes later and it was gone.

Well done for keeping it upright on three wheels at 70-80 km/h .
