    Hey guys.

Keiren, just left a message on your phone mate, will speak to you soon.
Just took it for a drive up to Walliston to see someone so I thought it would give it a good run, it was all going well untill I got near my place, and turning off the freeway it died again at the lights, after about 5 or 6 seconds, it came good again, but is now back to having a miss and hesitation.

It kinda seems it might be heat related, not that it's getting hot, but maybe when the under bonnet temp gets up a little, it tends to miss and hesitate and carry on. I'm starting to think as Pedro said, it isn't the fuel pump, but I'm not entirely sure it's the MAF either, as the symptoms are slightly different to the last MAF that died.

I've been told that they suffer from "module" failure, whatever that is, and that they often have an issue with power supply between the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump.

Hopefully a diagnostic check will shed some light, as I don't want to start throwing parts at it that aren't required.

Don't know, it was actually a mechanic I went and saw about the rally car build, and I spoke to him briefly about the Disco, and he mentioned the Module...I probably should have asked about the module, but I was more concerned at the time about the rally car and the amount of money it's sucking up.....

I'll ask him about the module and see what he meant.....

Does it leak oil excessively on the crank angle sensor? Mine was replaced because of similar problems that you describe.

Very Very big thanks to Keiren (AussieAub) for his time tonight.
It seems my 10 month old NON OEM AFM has passed it's final breath of air, and a replacement Bosch unit is required. Problem Solved hopefully.
We swapped Keirens out with mine and checked faults etc. and there is definite differences between a known good AFM and mine.

And thanks to all who threw in their thoughts also, it has saved me time and money..

Not a prob mate, my pleasure.
Get that OEM Bosch unit, see how she goes from there, and we'll hook it up again after if you think it's still not right.

    Good meeting you.

    Cheers,

Just to let you guys know, fitted Bosch AFM today, was almost a mistake driving to Rovatech, it really didn't want to drive that far, but got there, swapped AFM's, and all good....

Keiren, ordered an OBD2 today also, should be here early next week, might see if you're free and i'll duck up and you can help me figure it out.

Cheers again to all those that helped.

Great news, glad it all worked out for you!
Yeah, call up at some point. "Think" I'm pretty free most of next week evenings.
    We'll sort something I'm sure.....
