Just to eliminate the single side...
Switch to the other side and recalibrate and see how you go...
I have purchased a Truspeed Speedo Correction Module from Michael Samootin of 4x4DE. I installed it following the instructions and Slunnie's tech document on his site.
I have an issue in that once set it isn't staying true. If I tune it and set it while driving, when I drive the car a day later the speedo will be out. How much it is out varies from 1km/h to 8km/h at various speeds.
I've used a Garmin Nuvi GPS to set it, which I have always found to be very very accurate. When traveling up and down the Hume Highway last year each week, I would go under the speedo tester (the digital sign above the road that tells you your current speed) and every time it was spot on with the GPS speed.
Any ideas?

twr7cx,
I've had a similar problem. Installed mine on the weekend (as per slunnie method) and have only had the chance to drive it twice. The first drive with the switch in setting one with no adjustment (as I dont yet have the bigger tyres on) and the speedo read 85kmh when the gps was reading 100kmh on the 45 min drive. Before I installed the truespeed, the speedo in my d2 was accurate to 1-2kmh at 100kmh. I had not adjusted the turns at all on setting one and the instructions say it should be a direct feed to the speedo (ie: it should work as normal). I switched it to setting two (which I had pre set to the bigger tyres) and then back again and it has worked since. Go figure - although Ive only had the chance to drive it around town since.
Will do another test soon to determine if its out on the hwy. Have to say that I'm a bit worried about the accuracy. Wont pass judgement until I have a bit more of a play though.
Cheers,
Pricey.
But if you're using a GPS...![]()
But Gps's dont work all the time. I live in the country and my garmin nuvi regularly drops out under tree cover. Also, the gps sits to the left in the centre of the screen and is harder to monitor. Also, I thought it would be a cool gadget and maybe SWMBO might not realise the tyres were bigger coz the speedo was still accurate![]()
What size tyres are you guys running, the unit is pointless unless you have 32 or greater AND when you set it, you can only set it to ONE speed, the best speed to set it too is 100kph.
Sometimes you need to calibrate a couple of times to get it right.

Baz,
32's are going on today so hopefully all will be good. The setting it to 'one' speed thing would have been good to know before I shelled out the dosh but what can you do ? And in the info sent with the device it says - leaving the unit standard (ie no turns) in one of the settings will leave that setting standard. I dont think that is true. Will report on how it goes with the 32's (maybe on the weekend as Im flat out this week!).
Thanks for your replies guys,![]()
