thats the top half of the camshaft mount...
What is the mid section piece above the head on the TD5 and below the rocker cover?
Mine is currently leaking from the seal between it and the head.

If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
Its the top half of the head (that holds the camshaft in). to remove it you have to remove the head bolts.
Where is the leak? front?

There is no gasket for that join.
Check the oil feed line for the brake pump isn't weaping and the mist being blowing around by the fan when driving.
Also the front cam plug can weap and gets blown around too.
There is no gasket per-se, but that is a misleading comment. There is a complete even layer of a very specific sealant between the 2 halves
Turns out my major leak was from the oil pressure switch, t-piece and sensor, so I have rectified this and am no longer getting puddles of engine oil on the ground. There is still a seep at this point, but not enough for me to worry about it considering the size of the repair job!
