Post your annoying rattles on the D2

Please post your annoying D2 rattles and solutions

    Whilst underneath the disco,
    1. I noticed that the Silver heat protection panels underneath are only held on by a pin and a push on metal washer. You guess it when they wear loose they rattle.

2.The heat shroud over the started motor rattles.

    3. the tin under the cats is spot welded on, when one end comes off, Rattle

    3. The rear seats rattle as the locking mechanism is not holding them tight.

    Just one ...

I've got a rattle in the rear trim above or somewhere near the two back doors ... only hear it over rough terrain or large bumps ... bit hard to track down when your driving !

    ... no solution as yet.

Mine is pretty good although it has the wonderful drone at certain revs.

one of the earlier one's i had had a shocking rattle in the dash. After a few trips to the dealer,it was under warranty, they found the heater hose was not clipped into the plastic bracket at the rear of the engine compartment.
The hose was rubbing on the firewall & causing something in the dash to rattle
    FIXED

    1. Glovebox lid - solution, a folded piece of paper wedged in.
    2. Left rear seat when folded up - solution, leave seat down unless we need the space.

The more annoying and more difficult to fix is the wind noise from the left rear door, the rest of the car is beautifully quiet.

The oil filler hatch in the cover tends to rattle. I've stuck an offcut of a zip tie under the clip end to stop it vibrating. It's a bit ghetto but works.
