Over the past few months while repairing and replacing bits on the Disco 2 , I have sorted the dash area, radio not fitted correctly and the bundleof associated wiring free to move about. Later after replacing the head liner , internal A and C plastics , I notice that with newer clips the plastic on plastic rattle was gone. The most obvious reduction in noise came with the new windscreen. It seems that the snorkle and exterior trim was correctly fitted so at speed they could move about. Nice and quiet now.

The more annoying and more difficult to fix is the wind noise from the left rear door, the rest of the car is beautifully quiet.

Did that, but it would keep sliding down when the window was opened. The D2 is long gone now though.

    Engine cover buz

Me too, well, mine too, I took the cover off and got a kettle of hot water, poured the water slowly over the catch springy bit then held it out straighter so as when it cooled it had more tension in the cover.

    Buz gone!

    Cheers

There seems to be something in every corner and most bits of the dash that rattles in mine, as well as a particularly annoying metallic buzz just off idle...

My dash has an annoying squeak somewhere in the middle, top half,, left hand side near the windscreen. But only when it's above 35c outside.....meh it can stay like that.
