    Service supplies

Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Halfords do not have a store in Caringbah (ie. not really surprised at all but I needed an intro). OK team, where do I get filters and fluids please? Daisy needs a good service and she is beginning to rebel. Also, where does a Pom get spares? Who is local or is it a case of calling Craddocks et al?

    Hi

I find that ebay is very good. There are a number of suppliers who have "service kits" available in Melbourne and Sydney and once ordered you can get them usually within 24 hours

I get all my NIRTS parts from MR automotive.
Non urgent parts I was getting through LSA Automotive over in perth but for the moment they're down untill further notice.

Best Sydney place for spares, imho, is Karcraft in Silverwater.

    AllFourx4.com.au

When I need parts in a hurry (fuel regulator, alternator etc) I use Allfourx4.com.au for the majority of my spares, as they carry a good range at a reasonable price in AUD. If not, I order via paddockspares.com. I always use OEM for the centrifugal oil filter in my TD5.

Supercheap Auto carry the RYCO Air, Fuel and Spin on Oil filters for TD5s on the shelf, just need to source the Rotor filter on Ebay,, or just buy a kit..on Ebay,, Coopers usually. I get mine that way or from UK suppliers Rimmer Bros, DLS (ebay) because we live in the land of the over the counter rip off!!! and I'm not that fussy on the filters brand, changing engine oil and filters every 5000km.

    Dear All

As ever, you throw a question out there and get lots of good oil in return. Many thanks to all for your advice, Daisy is looking forward to a good service and my junior mechanic (age 4) has got his spanners ready to help Dad. Gawd 'elp me!
