Three amigos

Important thing i think what i can't find here, is read out the three amigo fault. First read, eventualy reset, wait next fault, read again... and then fix.
Depending on the fault reading go for shuttle valve as they say above, but i think more often it is a abs sensor failure or wiring failure from the sensor to the slabs unit.
At the moment i'm dealing also with this fault, not much done yet.
Only two read outs and one reset.
Two possible faults written out at the same time, both something about the left front sensor abs.
I think it's a lot of search work and if you have to pay for the repair i should try to sell the disco2 with the fault. (damn why sell the best disco they ever made !!)
I'm driving it for three months with the lights on, waiting for spring to go unther the car and waiting for nanocom. (not yet ordered)

The tests in the attached pdf will allow you to identify a faulty ABS sensor with a multimeter.

I've been helping a forumite who has a recurring fault on his D2 which indicated low output from a rear ABS sensor. Measuring the resistance at the ECU connector we discovered that a brand new part had a resistance 5 ohms below the minimum. The mechanic who installed the sensor apparently "tested" it (probably with the wheel spin test), but the sensor was still causing a low output fault.

does speedo move

What do you mean by speedo move ??
Look to the speedometer, speedgauge in your vehicle ??
When you turn one lifted wheel it has to move already with the ignition on ??

The D2 speedo takes the same electronic feed as the ABS module, but averages speed from all 4 wheel sensors, so if only one wheel is turning the speedo should still register.

Hi Pedro,

I'll go one better and try the wheel spinning thing myself this afternoon.

Why I suggested the measuring resistance was that in this particular case the sensor a) measures out of spec at the ECU and b) the fault registered is related to low sensor output.

The new, faulty sensor on the D2 has a resistance of 897 ohm while the other three measure around 1300-1400 ohm. The faulty sensor is only slightly below Wabco's minimum resistance figure so it will produce an output, and I'm guessing that it will pass the wheel spin test.

Pedro,

The under-reading sensor still registered movement on the speedo. Perhaps it's more useful for basic dead/undead sensor checks.
