    Taking D2a headlights apart

Has anyone done this - I'm looking to take the perspex covers off a set and place them on the set already in the vehicle as they are yellowing/stone chipped. The donor set have had the wiring altered and the some chopping on the mounting holes as they came off a facelift project, hence the reason for just swapping the covers.

Is the front stuck on or just held in place with the tabs?

    Cheers

    Rich

They are sealed, you'll need to use either heat gun or put them in the oven to melt the seal

Thanks Rocky, I left them out in the afternoon sun and was able to slowly prise them apart with a few screwdrivers.

Just gotta do the same for the ones on the car, clean them up and seal the new covers on

Just finished the job, used Sikaflex 227 to stick it all back together after digging out a lot of the old sealant.
