Where did yoy get your extra cooler from? Looks good fitted there. Need one but not sure best size to fit there

I don't follow how the winch could be in the way. The coolers shown in this thread are mounted behind the grille level with the headlights. With the exception of high mount winches, the vast majority are mounted below this and therefore should not pose and issue.

As for sizing. Remove your grille, get your measuring tape out and see what will fit. They look at the various options and find one the right size.

But remember, it also depends on your need - how much extra cooling do you actually need? If you overcool your transmission you will cause additional wear as it won't be operating in the correct operating temperature range.

Its from Davis Performance Landys. It sits behind the grill, so you still get full airflow coverage on the radiators. Whichever cooler you get, you must make sure it will take higher pressures, these produce much more pressure than regular transmissions. Also, make sure that proper multibarb pressure fittings are used, not just the push on and hose clamp jobs - they will come apart.

Thanks mine tows a lot. As well as a lot of 100km speeds which seems to heat it up. It just gets so hot inside the car from the trans tunnel. Plus offloading when i figure out why my car wont lock centre diff will be offroading often too. So need to keep it a bit cooler

The transmission should be running cool at 100kmh because the torque converter should be locked up. That's worth investigating.

They are normally in the middle of the radiator pack between the radiator and condenser and under the intercooler. They just block with mud there and you cant clean them unless you strip it all apart, not even with radiator cleaning wands. Its a really good spot for them behind the grill. Its not actually on the radiator pack, it is in front of them with a gap inbetween, so you don't get dead spots through the radiators and it all stays clear of mud blockages.

At present the cooler I have is located behind the front bumper at an angle, getting airflow from the underside of the bullbar.

That location is where the winch cradle sits on the bar.
