same for me with front LH sensor
    BUT
when I connect LH sensor to RH ECU plug (via a jumper wire) the speedo does move!
so I assume an intermittent LH sensor signal failure has been logged in the ECU as permanent and can only be cleared with a D2 specific scanner (eg nanocom)

If I were you, for that money, I would want a guarentee that sensor is the problem. A reasonable tech should tell you if that sensor is servicaeble or not. Test book or no test book.

Check for damaged insulation of the cable, especially near the wheel. This was the problem with mine. After repairing the broken wire, all was good.

Whoops, didn't realise there were 2 pages to this thread, so my comment probably makes no sense.

Okay, I have read ALL the threads now.
The sensor could well be the problem, but in order to hide it, others may have fiddled with the warning lamp wiring, as suggested earlier.
I seems very strange that sensor problem = NO three amigos.
They should be on all the time with this issue.
