Watts linkage replacement with long range tank

Looking for some pearls of wisdom here.

I've got to replace my Watts linkage. Not a big job in itself, but it seems that the last time I did it, I didn't have a long range tank in the way of removing the centre linkage bolt.

Is there any wisdom on this matter, or do I just need to bite the bullet and drop the fuel tanks.
    Cheers

I have a spare bolt here if you need it. That way you can cut out the old one and replace it reversed. Could work ? Or... you could just raise the chassis and the droop of the axle should then clear the tanks won't it ?

    Cheers

Oh George, I've just sat here and been laughing!

Thats twice now you've saved me!!!!!!

I feel really really silly now and your suggestion of lifting the car will do the trick! I don't know why I didn't realise that when I was under there!

    Legend! and thanks so much.

(Thanks for the bolt offer, I picked one up with the watts linkage).
    Cheers
