    rotors for TD5

    Hey guys, want to change my rotors on the front and just wanna know where is the best place to get them at a reasonable price, I believe the DBA part No is 528s or 528sl but not sure what difference there is

    Oz made rotors

    Ken, recommend you go Oz made as they last longer and are significantly cheaper than OEM. It's not a hard or time-consuming job to replace them and while you are at it - chuck a set of pads in to compliment the new discs.

    Check out Garyclwd on eBay (Type Land Rover Discovery TD5 in the search function) as he has great value pads and disc kits front and rear to suit all Discos....he's Sydney based and has good freight costs and prompt service

    TBS at Capalaba Ken. They will even slot them. Got the fronts for wifes D2 there, with slots ,, she hasnt warped a disk yet and the feel iso awesome with pads they supplied. Of course you could go the way I went with rears on the same car $45 from DLS in the UK, with mintex pads, they seem good too, no problems in 2 years.

    Australian Made Disc Rotors ???

    Guys,

    I understand that you'd have to look long and hard (and try some pixie dust) to get australian made rotors nowadays. When I was looking for some recently for another car, my research come up with most being cast overseas (mainly China) and some of the top end ones may be machined / finished in Australia. Admittedly they were garden variety (vented nly), not slotted / cross drilled, but even most of the slotted / cross drilled were also made overseas.

    What are other people's findings? (BTW- isn't it ironic that we have a car made in the UK and want Australian parts on it?)
