1999-2002 have a different panhard bar then the 2003-2004. Maybe they sent the wrong one?
Also, as far as the RTE stuff, I'm pretty sure LHD and RHD have different bars too.

This I have discovered and confirmed to be correct.
The other day I purchased a D2 panhard rod from Justin Cooper, so that I could take it and get it modified. I compared this to my D2a panhard rod and it's around an inch longer!
I also got out the Nolathane unit from the original post in this thread. The Nolathane unit can be adjusted all the way down to the same size as the D2 panhard rod.
As per the first post in this thread, my D2a panhard rod is shorter however than this (by around an inch).
No idea why the change in length? Did they change the chasis mount for the panhard rod or something?
So it seems that I may be able to fit the standard D2 panhard rod to my D2a and this will help fix the front geometry. If I need more, I can fit the Nolathane unit and adjust it out further.
The earlier D2 longer panhard rod was too long.
Ended up modifying the Nolathane adjustable panhard rod by cutting 10mm off the threaded part and leaving the nut off to make it short enough to use. Problem sorted now.
Hi there,
Sorrry for bringing such an old thread back but hows the nolathane panhard rod holding up. I was just about to order one and i found this thread.
Thanks again twr7xc!
Regards.
Michael.
Michael, I have had no issues with it. It performs it's job as expected. As mentioned above, I had to modify it to get it to go down to the correct length for my lifted D2a as it's intended for pre-D2a vehicles which had the longer rod.
Twr7cx Is that the Les Richmond 4" kit ur running? If so what's your opinion on the kit?
Yes, well it's a modified version of that kit in that I have reduced the spacers for the springs down to only an inch so I have a 3" total lift from suspension and spacers. This is enough to allow me to run 285/75R16 with good clearance and no rubbing.
The kit is a pain to install, but once completed does everything as expected, can't fault it.
