This I have discovered and confirmed to be correct.
The other day I purchased a D2 panhard rod from Justin Cooper, so that I could take it and get it modified. I compared this to my D2a panhard rod and it's around an inch longer!
I also got out the Nolathane unit from the original post in this thread. The Nolathane unit can be adjusted all the way down to the same size as the D2 panhard rod.
As per the first post in this thread, my D2a panhard rod is shorter however than this (by around an inch).
No idea why the change in length? Did they change the chasis mount for the panhard rod or something?
So it seems that I may be able to fit the standard D2 panhard rod to my D2a and this will help fix the front geometry. If I need more, I can fit the Nolathane unit and adjust it out further.
