alarm beep
I have had this occur on a couple of occasions now, when I turn the starter I get a single beep from the alarm horn.
Everything else seems fine Unlock/lock etc, all dash lights come on, first time it started straight away, second it would not crank, I moved the shifter in and out of park and it fired right up, not sure if that is related or not?
Any ideas?

I would be interested in this also as mine is doing the exact thing, sometimes it fires straight away other times it wouldnt crank over, moved the shifter out and back into park and away she went, I can only assume it may be the XYZ switch, but I could be wrong

I am more concerned with the alarm beep, as normally mine starts on the button.
I did notice that my XYZ switch needs adjustment as it will not start in Neutral only Park, if I move the lever just out of Neutral no problem.
Just got to get around to adjusting it

I have replaced the fob battery, and will put the main battery on charge tonight, although it is only 6 months old, I I have read that can have an effect on things
Maybe it's just one of the discos quirks, either that or it's getting excited by my good looks

i had trouble with my inertia switch which is mounted on the firewall in engine bay after installing second battery tray, it would make a beep when trying to start but wouldn't start, I pressed the switch and it fixed it, has only been a problem when hammering in the engine bay (backyard panel beating).
Cheers Matt
