I used Fred Smith Automotive in Bayswater. He's great, but be prepared, he is a perfectionist and that means he's also slow. If you need your car back in a hurry maybe look elsewhere. If you want the job done exceptionally well, use Fred.

still not sure what you mean

    Hi Wardy

When you say delaminate - does that mean the rubber lets go? So the damage occurs due to unbalanced cranckshaft?

And also not sure what the locktight solution is?

Sorry to be so thick but I had the TV dampener and crankshaft pulley off recently to replace cranckshaft seal and can't quite see what the problem is - and it sounds like I don't want to have it!

Is there a sign of the problem to look out for?

Johnboy, more than likely your head gaskets are kaput.
Get a pressure test done but be prepared to have your head machined and new gaskets.
Can be pricey if you are unable to do some yourself.
