After 250 odd key resets the amigoes stay on until electronically switched off.
Having said that, the little buggars have a mind of their own,,,
Does anyone know why my car may show the 3 amigos on start up and they stay on??
Ive checked with the nanacom whilst it shows these and there is no fault logged.
Could it be a bad earth somewhere in the system, or maybe dirty brake fluid??
cheers

Have noticed that the brake fluid is pretty greyish looking and gunky. Any cause do you think??
Also what is the function of the sensor/switch on top of the fluid tank??
Ive tested for continuity when operated and tested on terminals, didnt logg any fault whilst i did this.
It did buzz out when in the closed position though.
cheers

Read Faults ... Clear Faults.
If that doesn't work .... time to dig deeper.

The sensor is for brake fluid level. If it is faulty you get the brake/handbrake warning light come on. It doesn't trigger the amigos.
When I bought my D2 this sensor was disconnected to hide a slow leak in the master cylinder reservoir. When I reconnected I found that the sensor was also faulty and caused the brake warning light to flicker - but no amigos.

It might be worth checking engine ECU for faults too. Theoretically you shouldn't get warning lights without a logged fault. The SLABS ECU does monitor the engine ECU for faults so it's worth a look.
