Awesome! I pressed the button on mine last night and light up the drive way nicely, thanks for the heads up on that one!
One nifty thing I have noticed, that just happens, you don't have to activate it is the rear windscreen wiper comes on automatically when you put it into reverse when the fronts are already on.
I was really chuffedwhen I discovered my Discovery was so intuitive to my needs!
They've stopped listing the police spec parts post D1. Was always an interesting read on the extras in the parts books on what was fitted to the patrol vehicles. Expecially the RRC stuff, things like extra calibrated speedo (just a LHD binacle) , lights etc. All with rover part numbers.
Microcat lists a UK police spec instrument binnacle for the d2.
Slightly OT but (and I realise it'll be someone from the UK) but has anyone preserved any of these examples?
I've got ex south australian government disco 2. I've heard somewhere that government fleets in aus were using UK police spec discos. Is there any way to confirm?
I don't know of any govt dept. that would use anything but nissota.
After two and a half years ownership just tested mine for the first time last night in the drive way, fairly base spec 2001 TD5, and yes works a treat, front lights stay on for about a minute. Love my Landy, love this forum.
