When I look at the closed door from behind it seems to be pretty much even on left and right side. I am not sure how much I can adjust the door using the body-hinge bolts since I haven't loosened these yet. I will try to adjust the door up and towards the body a bit and hopefully that will make the seal tighter.
After 13 yrs with a D2 on all sorts of dirt roads across the continent, can only say if you drive it on a lot of dirt the only cure is to get the wheel off the door. All my rear door problems went away when I installed a steel rear bumper and dual wheel carriers. Cheers

I have just got mine back from the crash repairer and mine is sitting too low (the whole door). The rubber seal at the top of the door has no pressure on it, haven't tested it but looks like it will leak.Quote:

I agree with Rick on the spare tyre, just need to find a quality rear bumper that swings the wheel with the door.
