On and off road tyre combination

Hi all looking for new rubber again. I use 265/70/16 muddies off road and swap rims for 255/55/18 for the road. I am fitting the 2 inch lift soon and was thinking about going to a 285/55/18 for the road as this is pretty close to the same diameter as to muddies. Also looking at a yokohama advan st anyone had these before

That way i can get the speedo reset for one size and the bigger 18s will look a bit more at home after the life

    Any experience with this size
    Cheers

    Hi again.

Also been thinking, how do I recalabrate the speedo? for the bigger tyres?

when I have the Muddies on at the moment I just use the Iphone Nave to check my speed but that isn't a long term solution, being a 1999 non Flashable ECU is it possible to change the speedo with a Nannocom?

    Cheers

The fitting of a Truespeed module is the usual (only?) way to correct the D2 speedo. It provides 2 switchable settings so that 2 different sized tyres can be used without having to recalibrate it.
