thankyou Offtrack, Chris, Pedro and Sierrafery for your constructive replies. A diagnostic tool such as Hawkeye or Nanocom is on my list of tools to purchase but in the interim the digital multimeter is all I have
.
My D2 is a 1999 build and as such i believe has a EU2 spec TD5 and my recent (yesterday) reading on that engine is that the MAF has no control over fuelling but controls the functioning of the EGR valve which I do no longer have installed so in that case does the MAF on a de-erged EU2 TD5 influence any other critical functions?
