    eBay Time Out

I have searched with out success, is there a place to post Internet parts issues? No smart suggestions pls.
I ordered and paid via Paypal for LR Disco 2 remotes. These arrived but were the wrong frequency they were returned to the seller successfully. This is where I should have asked for a credit but stupidly didn't. The second dispatch of parts did not arrive, many emails later; some I believe were to extend the time from purchase, I attempted to report feedback to eBay
and contact PayPal but the time to do both these had expired. I have made successful Internet purchases prior to this, some via trackable mail others just dispatch and delivery. So the warning for those that do not know is beware of the time from order/ payment, a costly lesson for me.

    Hi,
As far as I know all vehicles are on different frequencies & you have to be linked to any new remotes.

Hi Update on the no delivery of goods/two remote keys, I made a claim through Visa after not hearing from E Bay or Paypal and the full payment was refunded with in two weeks.
I would have preferred the remotes but a good result to what I thought would be a costly lesson

That is a good outcome - however having bought remotes on ebay I did my research first to ensure they were the correct ones. When buying did you specifiy what frequency you required? Different countries use different frequencies. Likewise when the remote arrives with the correct frequency it will not work until it has been coded to the car via a dealer or coding machine (or is it the car coded to the remote) and likewise if the battery is removed - again no dealer connecting of the remote to the car is required.

So the process from buying the remote to getting to work on the car has quite a few steps.

I agree about the basic point though - with ebay/paypal you must not wait (believe sellers stalling tactics) before lodging a dispute - if solved it can be stopped no issues.

    Thanks Garry
I received 315 hz should have been 433 hz there was no frequency labelled on the key. After trying to program it with the Nanocom I realise they were probably 316 hz. The post was not so much about the remote just the cut off period of 45 days. I have purchased parts around Aus and overseas without any problems and will continue to do so. Good to know what to do when it doesn't go so well.

Yes the time available to post negative feed back to a supplier on E Bay or make a claim through Paypal is 45 days after payment of goods, I sent emails to both without an answer, the credit card supplier eg Visa is still. Last resort. Next time I will not miss the cut off.
